In the first 2 volumes Elmira Darvarova presented the world-premiere recording of Franco Alfano's Concerto for Violin, Cello and Piano, and the world-premiere recording of the original 1923 version of Alfano's monumental Sonata for Violin and Piano, as well as the world-premiere recording of Alfano's Piano Quintet, and of his Nenia & Scherzino for Violin and Piano (originally a vocal composition). The newest, final installment of this project has been garnering rave reviews, and has been called in the press "one of Naxos' finest and most profound releases of late". The performances have been praised as "wondrously fervent, with tiger-like ferocity"
